Douglas C. Dumont
Doug Dumont joined Ausband & Dumont in December of 2014.
Doug is a trial lawyer who dedicates his time to helping people and families who have been injured by another’s bad decisions. He works tirelessly to hold negligent people and companies responsible for their actions and the damages they cause. Doug believes helping his clients truly makes a difference and improves their lives, which is incredibly rewarding.
Like the other attorneys at the Ausband & Dumont, Doug strives to be the best both inside and outside the courtroom. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1998 with a degree in Political Science and then earned his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law. He has successfully won settlements and trials for clients in state and federal court throughout the southeast. Doug’s appellate record is unbeaten.
Doug has been named a SuperLawyer Rising Star in 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015. Although up to 5 percent of the lawyers in a state are named to Super Lawyers, no more than 2.5 percent are named to Rising Stars. Additionally, Doug was recognized as a Georgia Verdicts Hall of Fame lawyer in 2014.
Outside the courtroom, Doug spends a significant amount of time speaking with other lawyers throughout the United States. He has chaired or co-chaired the Plaintiff’s Personal Injury CLE for eight years, which is broadcast to hundreds of lawyers throughout Georgia. Doug is also the author of a chapter in Thompson-West’s Handling Motor Vehicle Accident Cases publication. He is an active member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice (formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers of America).
When Doug is away from the office, he enjoys spending most of his time with his wife and three children going to baseball and football games, soccer matches, fishing, traveling to their cottage in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, or just hanging around the house.
